Science of Mind Curriculum
The basic Science of Mind classes usually begin with the Foundational Class and continue with Treatment and Meditation, Self-Mastery and Roots of Science of Mind classes. All of these classes must be completed for those students desiring to take the Professional Practitioner Studies.
Course Descriptions - Accredited Classes
Success Though the Creative Power -- Foundational Class (45 hours) · 15 weeks
The Foundational Class is designed to be a personal exploration of the Core Concepts of the Science of Mind and their application to the daily process of living.
Treatment and Meditation: Spiritual Practice for Daily Living (30 hours) · 10 weeks This class focuses on learning how to do Affirmative Prayer (Spiritual Mind Treatment) and how to meditate, thus creating lifetime habits which support spiritual growth and healing.
Self-Mastery: The Emergence of the True Self (24 hours) · 8 weeks An in-depth exploration of beliefs, attitudes, feelings and emotions to enable the student to gain mastery in the art of living as a conscious, intentional being. Focuses on healing the perceived separation between personality and Spirit.
Roots of Science of Mind (30 hours) · 10 weeks A journey into the historical roots of Ernest Holmes' philosophy. Specific emphasis on the works of Thomas Troward, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Emma Curtis Hopkins.
Practitioner I (90 hours) · 30 weeks If you have completed the prerequisites (Foundational and three modules) then you are eligible for our professional studies which prepare you for licensure as a Practitioner of Religious Science. Practitioner I focuses on deepening your knowledge of the Science of Mind and beginning the process of transitioning into a practitioner consciousness. You move from the role of a student to that of a Practitioner-In-Training.
Successful completion of the Practitioner studies is a part of the eligibility requirements for licensing as a Professional Practitioner.
Practitoner II (90 hours) * 30 weeks
A continuation of the studies and training leading to the licensing process in becoming a Practitioner. |
